The Inventory Receiving Clerk is responsible for the ordering, receiving, labeling, counting, and recording of inbound shipments for various types of product/material for plant production. They are also responsible for daily counts of all products assigned and for ensuring that inventory records are accurate at all times.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory control at plant location; verifies inventory levels by taking physical counts when necessary and forecasts needs of critical materials for production.
- Performs all shipping functions, including verifying items received by inspecting their condition, comparing counts to purchase order, and packing slips, and researching discrepancies.
- Receives materials and labels and puts items into inventory; receives and distributes mail packages.
- Conducts scrap inventory and generates reports weekly/monthly; prepares inventory, shipping and receiving reports as requested.
- Reviews and posts outbound shipments as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Experience with web-based software, ERP systems, and Microsoft suite products, such as Word and Excel
- Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written communications and directions; ability to multi-task and handle various projects at once; ability to work with other departments to resolve problems
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to lift 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
