Receiving is ultimately responsible for the accurate and timely receipt of incoming inventory and supplies, which includes ensuring warehouse organization and flow is maintained.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all incoming product is accurately counted and received into our ERP system within the required amount of time.
- Check quality of incoming product as required and work closely with QC department.
- Report any perceived shipping damage to boxes to Purchasing and take photos.
- Ensure the Accounting department receives accurate data by verifying that pack slips match the ERP receipt record and discrepancies are clearly communicated.
- Maintain organization of the warehouse by putting away inventory in it's proper location, ensuring inventory is properly labeled, and addressing discrepancies immediately.
- Conduct cycle counts of inventory according to established procedures.
- Regularly report to the Inventory Manager regarding receiving and warehouse organization status.
- Work closely with the Shipping department to ensure space is being utilized in a safe and efficient manner.

Backup Responsibilities
- Monitor the system for material movement requests throughout the warehouse. This may include pulling material for jobs or replenishing bins from overstock.
- Assist in researching inventory discrepancies upon request or upon personally uncovering a discrepancy. This can include research in the system as well as further counting of associated inventory or searching in different areas of the shop. This also includes reviewing inventory for negative on hand balances or other anomalies.
