Job Description
Verify and maintain records of incoming shipments, and route to processing areas. Demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
Responsibilities
  • Examine incoming shipments; reject damaged items; record shortages; correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
  • Match merchandise and quantities to purchase orders
  • Receive merchandise using handheld units and route to processing areas
  • Operate lift truck
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications
Minimum
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus six months distribution/service center experience and six months order filler experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work weekends, work any shift, and overtime
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Ability to organize/prioritize variety of tasks/projects
  • Knowledge of standard product packaging and the ability to identify discrepancies
  • Familiarity with distribution center receiving terms and processes
  • Ability to operate a forklift, and pallet jack
  • Fred Meyer lift truck certification/license

Desired
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Six months company distribution/service center experience
