Basic Function
The Program Coordinator shall be responsible for all components of the Project. The Rescue and Recovery Community Reentry Project for Men of Color Project Program Coordinator shall perform other duties as needed including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload. Provides oversight to assigned re-entry staff and volunteers. The Program Coordinator reports to NASC Clinical Director.
Program Coordinator Job Responsibilities:
· Responsible for supervision of all Project staff, and volunteers and shall be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the RARCRPs. Serve as the official spokesperson for the RARCRP.
· Develop work methods and related support systems to effectively assess the economic and social needs of Project participants within the local communities on a continuous basis.
· Follow prioritized strategic initiatives that provide a broad range of human services.
· Establish working relationships and collaboration with public and private organizations to secure support and technical assistance for social services planning and the coordination of service delivery.
· Meet with the Director of the Illinois Department of Corrections to agree to serve as the Key Partnering Agency and agree to assess and refer justice involved persons in custody of the IDOC who could benefit from project reentry services and authorize access to the Statesville Correctional Center (minimum security unit) for staff and consultant to provide pre-release support services.
· Implement performance goals for the Project and Project staff and volunteers.
· Supervise and conduct performance evaluations for assigned staff.
· Discover and assist in the solution of new or developing community problems based on observation, information, and participation, as they relate to the Project and Project target individuals and/or groups.
· Assist in the preparation and distribution of special publications, annual reports, brochures, fact sheets and newsletters.
· Responsible for organizing special events.
· Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly staff meetings.
· Prepare quarterly and annual reports of all Project Work performed, and outcomes achieved.
· Recruit members of the Planning, Evaluation and Advisory Coalition Entity and Coordinate and Chair monthly Meetings (P.E.A.C.E.) with all participating Project Organizational Partners.
· Coordinate and conduct training sessions for and during monthly P.E.A.C.E meetings to develop the Rescue and Recovery Action Plan.
· Assist with trainings during monthly Pre-release Group Meeting sessions and conduct RARCRP orientation at the participating Correctional Center.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Documented History of Working with Formerly Incarcerated Persons
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Two to three years’ experience in management role
- Proficient with office software

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
