USPI is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide critical support in all financial planning, accounting, budgeting and profit and loss (P&L) management activities for our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) business unit. This team member will work directly with USPI RCM's Chief Revenue Cycle Officer and RCM senior leadership and partner with USPI's Accounting, FP&A and Ops Finance teams to lead data-driven operational excellence as USPI continues to grow its footprint as the leading national ambulatory surgery management platform.
Responsibilities:
- Create summary financial statements for senior leadership monthly to better manage the business
- Help create P&L models for clients to identify margin contribution and incremental revenue growth opportunities
- Perform revenue and expense variance analysis to identify revenue leakage and expense optimization opportunities
- Oversee vendor invoices and help identify trends, patterns - accuracy, opportunities to improve standardization
- Help identify trends, patterns and opportunities as we grow revenue and margins for this business
- Coordinate creation of budgets across all RCM departments annually and help communicate across RCM leaders
- Coordinate client invoicing and serve as primary point of contact to standardize processing and revenue recognition
- Provide recurring forecasts for expected revenue and expense actuals against annual budget
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; master's degree strongly preferred. Areas of study include finance, healthcare administration, accounting, business or related field.
- Must have at least one year of previous experience in financial planning and analysis or accounting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare provider setting
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, analytical and computer skills, as well as ability to meet strong deadlines
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential
- Demonstrated experience using Workday Adaptive, Oracle Payable and Intuit QuickBooks is a plus
