QE Responsibilities:
- Responsible for process procedures, quality manuals, and APQP / QMS discipline.
- Ensure products meet the customer quality specifications and GDT.
- Support the estimating and operations teams by providing analysis and expertise with respect to capabilities and final inspection.
- Identifies and facilitates problem resolution for internal and external (customer and supplier) for non-conformances. Determines the root causes and implements corrective actions.
- Quality Assurance: process-oriented and focus on eliminating process variation by creating, revising and implementing a set of tightly and precisely defined procedures or quality standards that when followed, ensure the final quality of the product.
- Creation and maintenance of quality documentation and SOPs in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Facilitate problem solving including root cause identification, corrective action implementation, and prevention through use of 8D, and 5 whys.
- Prepare follow-up responses to customer identified concerns and quality non-conformances.
- Lead, plan and audit the Layered Process Audits (LPA) in accordance with our Quality Management System (QMS).
- Responsible for accuracy and timely inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Statistical analysis of manufacturing data and creation of reports based on quality documentation.
- Develop inspection methods to analyze product quality and verify products meet customer requirements.
- Have a continuous improvement mindset, working together with teams and departments to improve products and process.
- Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
SQE Responsibilities:
- Complete supplier and performance audits to enhance process.
- Support purchasing and operations leadership with supplier development & supplier qualification initiatives.
- Visit and perform quality audits for existing and potential suppliers.
- Implement supplier improvement plans and walk alongside to help them improve using lean, statistical analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Maintain detailed reports on supplier quality including defect rates and non-conformances.
- Communicate with vendors regularly to address any concerns and foster an environment that facilitates continuous improvement in working relationships.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to suppliers .
