As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, you will conduct internal production/process and manufacturing quality control audits and risk assessments. Prepares audit plans and understands the specific issues to be evaluated. Executes internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with in-house and external specifications and standards (i.e., GLP, GMP, ISO, Six Sigma). Develops formal written reports to communicate audit results to management and regulatory compliance agencies, if applicable, and makes recommendations as appropriate. May facilitate work of external auditors during on-site visits. May conduct vendor evaluation audits to determine qualifications. Manufacturing Quality Assurance work includes defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a manufactured material, component, or product, building and maintaining the infrastructure and systems necessary to consistently ensure the timely delivery of quality products, auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of manufacturing processes and/or outputs against defined internal and regulatory standards. Reporting and troubleshooting manufacturing process deviations and defects in finished goods.

Responsibilities:
  • Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
  • Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
  • Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records.
  • Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
  • Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
  • Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a 8+ Years of relevant experience
  • Quality assurance experience in production environment. Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation preferred
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Preferred Qualifications:
  • ASQ Certification
  • Knowledge of Machine Shop practices (Turning and Milling)
  • Knowledge of Weld and NDT practices
  • Precision Measurement Science fundamentals
  • Proficient in the fundamentals of GD&T.
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities
  • RCA fundamentals
  • Quality assurance experience in rocket engine production environment
  • Quality Management System audit experience
  • Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
