Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist
Position Summary:
Assistant in the implementation and maintenance of all quality system requirements including APQP, PPAP, customer concerns and customer visits, gauging, process control plans, supplier issues, IATF 16949 & VDA 6.3 elements, customer specific requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Performs rapid root cause analysis of customer and test rejects.
· Maintains Test performance information such as Top 10 issues, trending, countermeasures.
· Inspect the current manufacturing process and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
· Develop standardized measurements for products during each step of the manufacturing process for comparison purposes.
· Update our Quality Management System (QMS, Flex) with incidents, fixes and improvements.
· Outline unambiguous Quality Assurance policies.
· Investigate all measurements that deviate from strict, predefined Quality Assurance standards.
· Communicate with departments at varying levels of the company to make sure the progression of product production is running smoothly.
· Ensure and train the QA team and production staff to be adequately trained in quality procedures.
· Support the maintenance and implementation of internal and external regulations regarding Quality Assurance.
· Facilitate improvements in the manufacturing process to guarantee both quality and efficiency.
· Discuss quality issues with both customers and suppliers in order to investigate possible quality issues.
· Audit and analyze audit outcomes in order to carry out necessary corrective procedures.
· Provide up-to-date auditing and manufacturing Quality Assurance documentation.
· Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:
· Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with customers.
· Must have excellent multitasking skills
· Must have strong ability to quickly prioritize situations and mitigate all issues
· Quality engineer, quality auditor, or quality improvement associate certification preferred
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills
· Must have strong computer skills –proficient in Microsoft Office –
· Proficient in QMS / ERP / SAP / PLEX
· Leadership and interpersonal skills that will translate to the ability to motivate team members
· Familiarity with technical systems and processes for tracking inventory
· Experience in writing reports and summary documents
· Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
· Outstanding organizational and management skills
· Diligent with great attention to detail

Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical demands at times may include safely handling multiple, continuous parts flow in and out of manufacturing operations work areas which requires lifting of parts. Work environment is climate controlled in most areas.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/System Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred
