R&D Services, Inc. (RDS) is a dedicated test laboratory specializing in the assessment of building materials, predominantly insulation products. Our humble beginnings trace back to 1994 when we started as a two-person venture operating out of a basement. Over the years, our commitment to quality has fueled substantial growth, and today, we stand proudly with a team of fifteen dedicated individuals.
What You Will Do
As a Quality Inspector here at RDS, you will have the opportunity to play an integral role in the success of our business. We have a passion for serving our clients, and we believe that:

We're on the lookout for a detailed and highly skilled professional to perform a diverse range of inspection and testing services. This role is pivotal to upholding the integrity and precision of our testing methods, maintaining strict adherence to ISO 17025 and 17020 standards, and ensuring the unwavering reliability of our test results.
Responsibilities include:
Inspection
- Organize travel arrangements to client locations.
- Perform inspections according to standard procedures.
- Prepare precise and accurate inspection reports.
- Streamline inspection processes to reduce time and cost.
- Maintain inspection equipment in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with inspection clients.
Testing
- Prepare test specimens as per standard requirements.
- Conduct tests following applicable test methods directed by the laboratory manager.
- Create accurate and precise test data sheets.
- Assist in the development of new test methods and equipment.
- Maintain test equipment in good working order.
Additional
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17025 standards in testing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 17020 standards in inspection procedures.
- Collaborate with laboratory personnel to uphold quality assurance practices.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- A technical degree is preferred.
- 1-5 years of experience in a technical field is required.
- Prior auditing experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid passport for potential travel.
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
