We design and create innovative, high-quality custom packaging solutions for our clients, in in fields including agriculture, human and pet foods, cosmetics, housewares, and even the military.
OUR CURRENT NEED:
We are looking for a qualified QA Technician to ensure the quality and safety of our food packaging products. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent - additional technical or quality-related certifications a plus.
- Proven experience as a QA Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food packaging.
- Strong understanding of quality control principles, methods, and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify and communicate deviations from quality standards.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly.
- Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Perform routine inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct visual and physical tests on packaging materials, including seal integrity, print quality.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and address quality issues, providing timely feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality testing results, inspection findings, and corrective actions taken.
- Participate in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and protocols.
- Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and non-conforming products, contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
- Monitor and enforce adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and other relevant industry regulations.
- Conduct calibration and verification of testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to walk on a regular basis throughout our facility.
