JOB SUMMARY
The Quality Inspector position conducts origination inspection of parts and supplies, ensuring the quality of products through thorough assessment and analyses using specific procedural standards. This position also has a responsibility to work in our Material Review Board (MRB) department to review parts discrepancies and make the appropriate repairs where and when applicable. This may involve sanding, drilling, sorting, reworking, gauging, and other means of inspection repair.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Follows standardized procedures to perform first part, final and receiving inspections on a wide variety of parts and assemblies.
- 2 years' experience in Quality Inspection is required.
- Experience in paint and powder coating a plus.
- Applies a wide variety of gauging; devises methods of checking unusual parts; maintains allowable variations from standards.
- Makes disposition of rejects and provides constructive feedback for quality improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school level education or equivalent and specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job.
- Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, check gauges, and other quality inspection instruments.
- Manufacturing environment experience a plus.
- Must be open to work planned overtime if needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations.
