We are looking for a full-time Industrial Quality Inspector to join our team here at Winona Powder Coating. The right candidate is looking for an environment where people are treated with respect and given the opportunity to grow.
General Summary:
Support all aspects of coating, finished product, up to and including packaging and shipment. Employee has the responsibility and authority to control quality.
Responsibilities and Authority:
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks given.
- Ability to follow instructions (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work with limited supervision.
- Location and understanding to read attribute process cards/prints.
- Ability to complete and maintain inspection logs, certificate of conformances, customer specific paperwork, nonconforming tagging, and any required lot control and traceability required for Quality.
- Conduct 100% visual inspection.
- Pack parts per customer request and assist any employees with packing.
- Ability to identify non-conforming parts vs acceptable.
- Ability to rework non-conforming product to meet the customer acceptance criteria.
- Communicate effectively with Plant Manager, Supervisors, and all employees.
- Ability to learn and conduct titrations of the 5- station washer system.
- Ability to learn nonconforming vs acceptable for an electrocoat system.
- Ability to work in any area of Winona Powder Coating that may need support.
- Ability to learn, understand and perform calibrations.
- Ability to learn internal auditing if needed.
- Ability to learn how to operate any measurement tools to perform necessary inspections.
- Follow Winona Quality policy and procedures
- Maintains acceptable housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
- Ability to complete work instructions issued from the attribute card and plex system instructions.
- Wear necessary personal protective equipment
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the principal duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education / Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Basic computer skills
Ability to learn or read blueprints
Use measurement equipment
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as necessary. Must be able to stand, walk, and bend repeatedly during the entire production shift. Additional physical demands include: reaching and occasionally being able to lift up to 60 pounds.
