SSDI is hiring an experienced an Quality Engineer - Semiconductor Components to join the Quality Team!
The Quality Engineer - Semiconductor Componentsshall support and assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System and the Quality Control methods and Inspection activities.
Duties and Accountabilities:
- Assist with the Contract Review function to assure that requirements are identified and defined
- Assist with the Design Review function to assure that requirements are identified and defined
- Assist with the material review board responsibilities
- Auditing (Internal & External)
- Develop, implement and maintain a vendor selection and evaluation program
- Conduct the piece part and outside service contract/purchase order review
- Development of process procedures, work instructions, and MPP’s and any changes or improvements appropriate
- Assist with the hiring of inspection personnel
- Conduct & support the training of the Quality Department personnel
- Assist with the development, maintenance and auditing of the Quality Management System requirements
- Generate product first article reports
- Final review of product shipment
- Ensure compliance to the applicable International, Military, Customer & Corporate Quality Standard
Additional:
- Application experience or training in the implementation of Military standards and Quality Management System requirements
- Knowledge of Military and International Standards: Mil-PRF-19500, Mil-Q-9858, Mil-Std-45662, Mil-Std 750, Mil-Std-883 and ISO9001/AS9001
- An understating of electronic manufacturing processes
- Experience or training in the operation of a Semiconductor Manufacturing facility
- Use of quality tools related to problem solving, process improvements, process controls, statistical techniques and analysis
- Proficiency in the use of a computer for statistics, analysis & reporting, familiarity shall include the operation of a Spreadsheet, MS Office and Database programs
***********QUALITY ENGINEER CANDIDATES WILL BE TESTED on BASIC MATH (without use of calculator)***********
Communication Skills
Oral: Verbal capabilities necessary to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, clients, customers, etc. Must be able to communicate effectively in a group situation.
Written: Must be able to generate written communications in a clear and concise manner.
Interpersonal Skills: Capability to interact and provide direction in a professional manner with all levels of the organization.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field is preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Engineering. ASQ certification as an Internal Auditor a plus.
Schedule: Full-time / Monday - Friday / 7:00am-4:00pm
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 / Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule (Direct Deposit Available)
