We are seeking a Quality Coordinator to join our growing team at our Pittsburgh factory. As a Quality Coordinator, you will be crucial in helping the team to maintain production with a quality mindset.
Responsibilities:
Coordination of production quality activities
- Monitor production activities and product realization workflow
- Coordinate actions with production and quality team leads
- Prioritize quality team workload
- Expedite outside vendor processing
- Maintain activity schedules and communications
- Provide input to the contract review process
Quality database administration
- Logging of production quality-related data
- Metrics reporting
- Workflow development and improvement
Assist with control of non-conforming products
- Lead problem-solving on nonconforming products and processes/and process development
- Root cause analysis and documentation, problem resolution planning, execution, and verification.
Assist with inspection
- Perform observations and measurements of incoming, in-process, and outgoing product
- Use hand tools for measurement (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Operate coordinate measurement machine (CMM)
- Preparation of quality data packages/certificates of conformance
Perform other assignments as prescribed by leadership:
Support SHEQ initiatives/continual improvement of the QMS, support internal audits and supplier evaluations, assist with metrics development, share lessons learned, etc.
Requirements
Physical Demands:Quality Coordinator must sit, stand, walk, reach high/low with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. May occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Use of PPE is required for this position – the candidate must be able to wear safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, and cut-proof gloves.

- Non-standard practice ID
