We are seeking a Quality Coordinator to join our growing team at our Pittsburgh factory. As a Quality Coordinator, you will be crucial in helping the team to maintain production with a quality mindset.

Responsibilities:

Coordination of production quality activities

• Monitor production activities and product realization workflow
• Coordinate actions with production and quality team leads
• Prioritize quality team workload
• Expedite outside vendor processing
• Maintain activity schedules and communications
• Provide input to the contract review process

Quality database administration

• Logging of production quality-related data
• Metrics reporting
• Workflow development and improvement

Assist with control of non-conforming products

• Lead problem-solving on nonconforming products and processes/and process development
• Root cause analysis and documentation, problem resolution planning, execution, and verification.

Assist with inspection

• Perform observations and measurements of incoming, in-process, and outgoing product
• Use hand tools for measurement (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
• Operate coordinate measurement machine (CMM)
• Preparation of quality data packages/certificates of conformance

Perform other assignments as prescribed by leadership:

Support SHEQ initiatives/continual improvement of the QMS, support internal audits and supplier evaluations, assist with metrics development, share lessons learned, etc.

Requirements

Physical Demands:Quality Coordinator must sit, stand, walk, reach high/low with hands/arms, stoop, kneel, and crouch. May occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Use of PPE is required for this position – the candidate must be able to wear safety glasses, safety-toe shoes, and cut-proof gloves.

You should be proficient in:

• Quality Control Data Analysis
• AS9100 Experience
• PPAP Process Experience
• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Non-conforming Product ID
• Non-standard practice ID

Machines & technologies you'll use:

• Calipers and Micrometers

Salary info:

$20 - $35 / hr
