Job Description :

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Responsible for coordinating and supporting the administrative needs of the Quality, Safety, Regulatory and Infection Prevention divisions. This position is to be the "hub" of Quality and Safety support at the local levels.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides division leader support for Quality, Patient Safety, Infection Prevention and Regulatory activities at the local hospital level. Assists leaders with coordination of work in an effort to standardize processes and increase efficiency. (40%)
  • Manages electronic occurrence reporting system and database(s) to promote patient safety activities for the hospitals. Submits Infrastructures/Serious Events to PA Patient Safety Reporting System. Maintains electronic occurrence reporting system including occurrence report changes/enhancements, technical support and adding/updating user database. Triages and analyzes data for recognition of trends. (40%)
  • Assists with regulatory data transmission and communications. Helps ensure that appropriate patient notifications and disclosures occur as directed by patient safety and infection prevention, regulatory leadership. (10%)
  • Provides administrative support for various committee meetings as requested. Manages / maintain spreadsheets for facilitating performance improvement workflow. (10%)
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
  • 3-5 years experience in healthcare
  • 1-3 years experience in coordinating cross-functional activities/projects

Preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Pay Range Minimum:

$21.88

Pay Range Maximum:

$33.57

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
