Job Title: Quality Administrator
Reports To: Quality Manager
Job Summary:
Quality Admin is responsible for supporting the Quality team to ensure implementation/application of the organization’s quality system regarding ISO/IATF requirements and as in alignment with Groupe Plastivaloire America strategy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for tracking all Safe Launch procedures
- Maintain Product and Hold Area.
- Create PAWR for non-conformant products.
- Maintain and update fast response.
- Review and update all current I&I Sheets.
- Create PR specific work instruction for new work.
- Update and Improve Work Instructions for current production parts as needed.
- Create and implement work instructions for Safe Launch activities.
- Initiate and update Gage R&R processes.
- Assist PPAP Coordination when necessary.
- Assist with 8-D or other problem-solving analysis when necessary.
- Assist Manufacturing/Engineering with process DOEs.
- Assist with Document and Data control updates.
- Performs capability studies.
- Involved in APQP activities and program reviews.
- Participates in ISO/IATF activities, serving as internal auditor.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of operations in the plant and quality systems.
- Create and improve upon 5S.
- Must be pro-active in your job duties.
- Advise Quality Manager of any non-conforming issues related to your specific task.
- Prepare and maintain boundary sample parts for new and existing part numbers.
- Maintain record retention.
- Act as Back up Quality inspector as needed
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment while complying with company procedures regarding safety and environmental regulations.
- Other duties as required.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s production processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to follow direction and/or work independently as well as within a team
- Basic Math Skills (i.e. addition, subtraction, multiplication etc.)
- Thorough knowledge of ISO/IATF Quality Procedures, audit process and documentation requirements.
- Solid knowledge of automotive industry processes such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
- Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable Federal and State OSHA regulations along with maintaining ISO and IATF requirements.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree or Metrology certification preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of quality experience.
- Minimum of one (1) year quality experience in the plastic injection molding industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 25-30 pounds at times.
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.
