    Job Description

    Position Overview:

    The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for monitoring, measuring and improving processes, services, safety and sustainability within MCPC’s production labs and logistics facilities. The QA Coordinator will investigate incident reports, customer complaints and other issues as requested. The position will be tasked auditing processes and making recommendations for improvements to decrease errors, improve efficiency and create a safer working environment. The QA Coordinator may be authorized to develop new policies or procedures and must be able to effectively communicate and train individuals to properly implement updates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Works with all departments to ensure quality throughout the product and service lifecycle
    • Performs internal audits quality incident investigations of processes and procedures through independent assessment
    • Utilizes reports and data to identify systemic performance issues, trends and anomalies
    • Identifies opportunities for improvement to reduce risk and improve delivery, efficiency and safety
    • Manages corrective action process including root cause analysis to ensure corrective solutions are implemented with verification of effectiveness
    • Documents outcomes of quality incident investigations and audits
    • Reports outcomes to management at regularly cadenced meetings
    • Acts as a consultant to staff in achieving organizational quality, safety and sustainability goals

    Skills and Attributes Required:

    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills working with cross functional teams
    • Familiarity with Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Methodologies and use of quality analytic tools
    • Ability to work independently and to sustain positive relationships with team members, managers, and customers
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 programs
    • Safety Conscious
    • Self-motivated, self-directed, able to work with minimal supervision to achieve results
    • This position requires employees to be onsite and potentially visit multiple sites throughout any given work week

    Qualifications:

    • Experience writing procedural documentation and work instructions is preferred
    • Individuals hired for this position may be expected to pursue industry recognized certifications (including those not listed in the job description)

    Experience and Educational Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED, Associates Degree
    • 1+Years of experience working as a QA/QC Specialist in a production, distribution or manufacturing environment

    Physical Requirements

    The physical requirements of this job include frequent sitting, standing and walking, carrying light objects, grasping and reaching for things, the ability to lift 25-50 lbs. Employees must have the ability to wear required PPE specific to work areas, including composite toed shoes, safety glasses or ear protection.

    Regular attendance and punctuality are an essential job function of this position. In addition, the duties of this job need to be performed inside our offices (unless authorized due to extraordinary circumstances) for the purpose of interaction and collaboration with colleagues, and the necessary equipment and procedures utilized to carry out defined job functions.
