Job Title: Quality Coordinator
Department: Mushroom Harvest
Location: Mushroom Harvest Site - 527 Spring Rd, Port Angeles, WA, 98362
Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 4:30 pm
Summary: The Quality Coordinator is responsible for ensuring products and processes meet applicable compliance requirements through the documentation and management of quality, production, and process control systems.
This person must work well independently, be detail-oriented, and be able to perform work in a timely and accurate manner. They must be able to maintain confidentiality as they will encounter proprietary and sensitive documents and information. Success in this role requires the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, multi-task, troubleshoot, and meet various deadlines as requested. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following, other duties as assigned:
- Oversee the establishment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all documentation, policies, and procedures associated with the manufacturing, physical plant, grounds, equipment, and compliance-related matters in support of current good manufacturing practices.
- Provide item disposition review and approval by verifying adherence to applicable specifications, proper documentation, reporting, and record retention in accordance with applicable certification bodies and/or regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal and external audits. Including but not limited to federal and state agencies and third-party accreditations.
- Approve new and updated compliance-related documentation.
- Prepare reports for the Quality Management Team, as directed.
- Maintain working knowledge of applicable certification bodies and/or regulatory compliance requirements.
- Notifies the Quality Management Team of issues or concerns related to the Quality Management System.

Education & Experience:
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of related experience and/or training required; preferably experience in more than one industry-related position.
Technical Requirements:
- Proficient in Office 365.
- Excellent math and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, botanical guides, plant identification manuals, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Strong attention to detail, with solid knowledge of grammar and punctuation, ability to proofread accurately and consistently.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry to solve practical problems.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to quickly organize and communicate thoughts, and to understand communications from others. Ability to maintain composure, listen, and respond appropriately.
