Summary
The Vehicle Processing Center (VPC) Quality Control Supervisor directly supervises the quality of services for the entire operation including inspection processes, PIO part installation processes, and load line processes on evening shifts. Supervises all end-of-line Quality Control activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily activities of the Quality Inspectors to ensure that all activities are being performed correctly and safely
- To include: performances, attendance, Team Member communications, and any other company related information and events that are required
- Perform audits to ensure inspectors and VPC departments are performing within standards
- Initiate performance reviews for Glovis team members
- Monitor absences and manage headcount to support responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce quality related policies, procedures and expectations
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality measurement tools / metrics and report performance
- Provide the communications necessary to motivate and manage quality team members
- Be aware and ensure that all Team Members are performing in such a manner to met all Customer and Companies policy's and requirements
- Conduct daily Quality start-up meeting with Team Members
- Support all departments in their training actives by offering assist in preparations and securing training is completed
- Support Operations in any urgent task as requested by Quality Control Manager
- Offer opinions and suggestions to improve operations efficiently and Team Member morale
- Support corrective action development for answering Customer and internal issues
- Monitor team member performance and schedule re-training as required
- Monitor and enforce quality related policies, procedures and expectations
- May be required to assist in vehicle driving in urgent circumstances to meet VPC objectives
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical, critical thinking, short to long term planning, leadership and organizations skills required
- Previous experience in drafting formal quality related policies and procedures
- Previous quality auditing experience desirable
- Proficient PC skills: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management.
Compensation
$80,186 - $88,539/annually (based on compensation study)
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Associates Degree preferred
- Supervisory experience required
- 1 - 3 years' experience in Leadership and Management
- Proven leadership skills
