Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor III / Location: El Cajon, 92020 / Pay rate: $34.47 - $43.07 / Shift: 7am – 3:30pm

Job Overview:Quality Control Supervisor oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing and inspection processes.
TE Connectivity’s Quality Supervisor analyzes the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They recommend revisions and implement Quality Control systems, develop, and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products. Our teams develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, Quality Control and reliability programs governing materials, product, and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, and corrective action.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
· Lead a team of Quality Inspectors to make sure all the incoming, In-Process, and Final materials complies with all the customer or engineering specifications.
· Identify and develop key trends in customer complaints and utilize data to drive quality sufficiency in the value streams
· Implement customer specific quality initiatives on the El Cajon campus.
· Develop initiatives to improve quality subject matter expertise among the cross functional teams and enhance the culture of quality on the campus
· Champion customer audit schedules and execution for the campus
· Partner with other regional quality managers for read across opportunities to solve customer issues
· Provide pass-through characteristics to our sustaining quality team to support PFMEA development and effective control planning on the campus
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree required in a related field to Quality
· At least 5 years of experience in the Defense, Marine, and Oil and Gas manufacturing environment
· Up to 10% travel may be required including international travel
· Excellent presentation skills in addition to written and verbal communication skills required
· Must possess strong problem-solving skills.
· Excellent negotiation skills both internal and external to the company required and to drive completion of 8D documents that drive the business to world class manufacturing levels
· Experience leading problem-solving teams and utilizing problem solving tools (8D's, 5-why analysis, fishbone diagrams)
· Strong team building and talent development skills with a passion to develop succession for leadership in the teams
· Working knowledge of quality systems in a ISO/TS16949 environment a plus
· Good computer skills with a working knowledge of Macola, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
