Quality Control Sorter - Final Inspection

Frazer and Jones is looking to add Quality Control Sorters to our Final Inspection Department to support growing business needs. This position works both independently and with a team to process manufactured goods throughout the internal Quality Control process prior to shipment out to our customers. This entry-level role is a fit for those that are new to the workforce or have taken a break from it. Gain experience in the manufacturing and foundry business while helping support international projects in mining with our company.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conducts thorough visual inspections of hard iron products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
• Sorts and categorizes hard iron components based on specified criteria.
• Utilizes measuring tools and equipment to ensure dimensional accuracy.
• Records castings processed and defects on the job aide worksheet or other internal documentation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Follows and participates in Quality Control procedures, protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned by the departmental foreman.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, GED or ability to understand and communicate with fundamental English.
• Prior manufacturing, Quality Control or foundry experience preferred.
• Ability to record castings processed using simple mathematics and understands work procedures and policies especially as they relate to quality and safety.

Work Schedule and Hours:

• 1st Shift – 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
• 8-hour shift assigned, may be requested to work overtime via extended shifts or assigned Saturday overtime.

Pay and Benefits:

• $15.04 - $16.49 per hour.
• Overtime after 8 hours in a day and after 40 hours in a week.
