Broadridge is growing. We are actively seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our Kansas, MO location. This role is in our Customer Communications Division, which offers a full range of multi-channel communications solutions, such as integrated print, mail and digital solutions for transactional, marketing and compliance communications.
In this role, your main responsibility will be to ensure accurate insertion and mailing of all Broadridge products and that all quality standards are met on Inspector's assigned production area. You'll use your thorough understanding of the Quality Policy to actively contribute to the ICS Vision Statement. You will continuously seek new opportunities for process improvements. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.
Responsibilities:

  • Shift: Monday - Wednesday 6:00 pm - 6:00 am, Thursday 6:00 pm - 11:30 pm, 6:00 pm - 6:00 am every 3rd Sunday in a rotation.
  • Ability to inspect/ verify printed media, materials, and postage through the sign off process.
  • You will provide necessary feedback to proper management if standards are not met. Including active communication between shifts, with peers and across departments.
  • Possess proficient knowledge of all in house systems specific to each area of responsibility. Cross train in all applicable areas to ensure quality goals are met and exceeded. Verify that all jobs are properly reconciled and closed in a timely manner accurately.
  • You will finalize Control Envelopes, Print Requests for completed jobs. Accurately reconcile batches/IDF files having piece count discrepancies. Provides training for continuous improvement, new associates and cross training opportunities.
  • Supports the Broadridge team with an overall goal of quality, efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure that employees understand and align with all company guidelines and ISO standards when carrying out Quality Control processes. Record and report information about accuracy/errors and damaged items. May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned

Skills/Competencies:
  • Attention to detail
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and to work under pressure due to time constraints as necessary
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned, in particular in performing activities that are repetitive in nature

Qualifications:
  • High School or Associate's degree
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Flexibility in work schedule that is based on Production volumes which could require weekends and holidays
  • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
  • Promote a professional work environment and adhere to all Broadridge's policies

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Rate: $16.00 - $19.00, plus shift differential
  • Annual Bonus: $1,250 bonus recurring every year.
