Quality Control Inspector

Currently, AB Electronics is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Position Description: The QC Inspector will perform inspections of electronic soldering and circuit board assembly workmanship utilizing customer documentation, industry standards, and internal procedures. Inspects components, fabricated parts, and assemblies at receiving, in process and final inspection. Ensures quality practices and procedures are implemented and followed. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, and quality standards. Maintains inspection records and understands all aspects of electronic assembly of Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Assemblies, Cable Assemblies, and Box build assemblies. Works with production technicians and assemblers to ensure procedures are understood and followed. Participates in Root Cause and Corrective Action quality initiatives. Required Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of printed circuit board (PCB) and cable assemblies. Working knowledge of electronic components and polarity markings. Able to read work documents, drawings, and bill of materials. Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Required Experience: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. 2+ years of related work experience. Experience using documented work instructions. Working experience in the manufacturing of electronic circuit board assemblies. Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of IPC-A-610 / 620 (certification a plus) Working knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 quality systems Able to work comfortably in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.
