Quality Assurance Technician

Our client is currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Technician who is experienced in ISO 9001 certification, possesses PED certification, and has a track record of success in PPAP and RMA processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Quality Assurance Inspections: Perform thorough inspections of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with established quality standards and specifications.

2. ISO 9001 Compliance: Maintain and enforce ISO 9001 standards throughout all stages of production, including documentation, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

3. PED Certification: Utilize knowledge and experience with Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for pressure equipment.

4. PPAP Experience: Lead and support Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities, including documentation, submission, and approval processes, to guarantee product quality and customer satisfaction.

5. RMA Handling: Manage the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process by investigating, documenting, and resolving quality issues reported by customers, ensuring prompt resolution and customer satisfaction.

6. Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process improvement.

7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, non-conformances, corrective actions, and other quality-related documentation. Generate reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.

8. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement in quality processes, procedures, and systems. Implement and monitor corrective actions to drive continuous improvement and enhance overall quality performance.

9. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries, addressing concerns, and proactively communicating with customers to ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel forging industry.
• ISO 9001 certification required.
• PED certification preferred.
• Proven experience with PPAP processes and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of RMA handling procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to upholding quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Salary: $23 - $28/hr
