We are searching for an experienced Quality Assurance Technician that will be responsible for performing detailed visual and dimensional inspections of tight tolerance parts for conformance to manufacturing requirements. Candidates must demonstrate attention to detail, high integrity, self-motivation and a willingness to provide excellent quality of work in a CNC Manufacturing environment.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of Quality Assurance Technician:
· Able to understand and use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc.
· Perform detailed visual and dimensional inspection of tight tolerance production parts.
· Performs QA inspection at 1st article, in-process, and shop floor to assure conformance to print specifications.
· Audits various manufacturing processes to assure compliance to customer specifications.
· Maintains and updates inspection logs and records as necessary.
· Initiates non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follows-up to final disposition of nonconforming materials.
· Responsible for complying with the department’s existing policies, procedures, and methods.
· Assists manager and/or department staff by providing document support, such as filing, and data entry.
· Additional duties as assigned.
JOB SKILLS NEEDED FOR QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of Quality experience in manufacturing
- Ability to reason and analyze to pinpoint defects
- Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic measuring tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc.
- Basic computer skills including Word, and Excel.
- Ability to operate and / or program a Zeiss or Mahr CMM is a definite plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
