Job Description
The Quality Assurance Manager has the overall responsibility for the safety, food safety and food fraud defense of all production at Pure Sweet Honey, and where applicable, the wider ICI Foods Inc. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Verona, WI
• Review supplier quality documentation for general approval / good standing with ICI/PSH.
• Awareness of the larger marketplace to assist in identifying trends, bad actors, testing and expectation modifications, & competitor practices.
• Review individual batch results for inbound loads vs. existing quality program requirements and origin specific concerns.
• Troubleshoot discrepancies and concerns.
• Review physical samples taken from inbound loads to determine logged batch level information.
• Review of daily production samples against specifications, hold of non-conforming products, review of daily paperwork.
• Maintain plant certifications (SQF, Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher)
• Maintain plant safety protocols (HACCP, OSHA, etc.) • Support in-plant Food Safety via GMP rule monitoring and training.
• Assisting the sales team with tours, visits, sample shipment and documentation support.
• Other projects as assigned.
Other ICI Locations
• Food safety audit preparation.
• Audit readiness gap analysis where required.
• Food safety audits, and corrective actions management.
• Develop programs for unaudited and 3PL sites.
• Other projects as assigned.
An important part of the Quality Assurance Manager’s duties is to work closely with Management to ensure that customer needs are met, while ensuring that the interests of the company are protected. Immediate supervisor: Site Manager
