Quality Assurance Lead Engineer

Power your Future with GridBright, a Qualus Company as a Quality Assurance Lead Engineer! You will play a pivotal role in leading the implementation and consulting of utility system software for a major utlity customer through Quality Assurance and project management. You will play a pivotal role in large scale system integration programs and take on the delivery of ADMS/OMS system and integration implementations from our leading ADMS/OMS software partners.

This position is remote and will have the ability to work from home when you are not traveling onsite to customer locations. 

• Understanding requirements and creating key test deliverables such as test strategies, plans scripts, scenarios, and test data etc
• Developing and executing test plans and strategies that validate the quality of software components and integrated systems.
• Interacting with project managers and implementation teams to schedule and plan for releases and test cycles.
• Monitoring, evaluating and reporting test execution progress, level of quality for specific area of focus.
• Developing tools, techniques and plans for defect identification, reporting and ownership from identification through to resolution.
• Test estimation, scheduling, requirements traceability, execution and reporting results to various audiences.
• Driving daily/weekly stand-up meetings to maximize test effectiveness, particularly during execution phases
• Adherence to the software development life cycles, testing standards and best practices.
• Establishing close working relationships with customers, technical teams and business users

• Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
• Ten (10) years of combined experience in quality lead, project management and utility systems software implementation and consulting.
• Demonstrable experience of working to a formal SDLC, using structured testing and release methods
• Demonstrable experience interacting with clients to understand relationships and priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Experience leading a team in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale quality initiatives/projects from the envisioning stage through implementation.
• Ability to prioritize work assignments and shift work efforts based on client business goals.
• Experience developing quality progress reports for various levels of stakeholder awareness/involvement
• Knowledge of project integration lifecycle and methodology.
• Excellent problem-solving, written and oral communications and customer service skills.
• Ability to lead and facilitate workshops covering the full breadth of the quality scope
• Ability to work with new technologies and tools as required by the needs of a project. (MS Project, JIRA, OneNote)
• Ability to work independently and self-direct your workday.
• Willing and able to travel up to 50% to customer project sites
• US citizen or permanent resident.
