We are searching for talented people to join our mission. Come to KSU and find your passion. Job Summary Responsible for ensuring that University Dining operations remains in compliance with safety and sanitation standards, policies, procedures, regulations, and current health codes.

Ensures compliance with the overall University Training Policy and specialized department training needs under direction from department management. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supports the department to ensure food safety and sanitation compliance for all University Dining Locations 2.

Performs Quality Assurance reviews, reports findings, and communicates results and recommendations to management 3. Assures compliance with HACCP guidelines, FDA Food Code, local and state regulatory authorities, and Food Safety SOPs for all University Dining Locations 4. Coordinates and assists with trainings for dining staff and student assistants 5.

Provides and maintains all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety supply inventory and trains on proper use of equipment such as thermometers, gloves, handwashing, cut gloves, towels (dry and sanitized), oven mitt usage and cleaning, etc. 6. Creates and modifies temperature logs and other required documentation for use in daily operations 7.

Creates and modifies training presentations and performs training sessions 8. Provides and maintains each unit with a supply of day, time and temp stickers, use first and label dating materials Required Qualifications Educational Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Other Required Qualifications Manager SERV SAFE Certified Required Experience One (1) year of Food Safety and Sanitation support experience Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications An undergraduate or advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field Preferred Experience Experience working in a college or university food service environment Experience in training and/or coaching frontline employees Experience with Health Department Inspections and strong knowledge of food code Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities ABILITIES Able to perform Quality Assurance Reviews and write concise reports of findings Always demonstrates professionalism Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines KNOWLEDGE Strong knowledge of FDA Food Code, HACCP plans and principles, and food safety and sanitation practices SKILLS Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, Excel and PowerPoint) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette Equal Employment Opportunity Kennesaw State University is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.

Other Information This is not a supervisory position. This position does not have any financial responsibilities. This position will not be required to drive.

This role is not considered a position of trust. This position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card). This position may travel 1% - 24% of the time.
