Quality Assurance Analyst

We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance Analyst. This position is within the Program and Business Modernization team, which provides program and project management expertise to increase the efficiency of customer operations and maximize value. This role, which reports to our Program and Business Modernization (PBM) practice, will function within a scaled-Agile context (SAFe) to support the development of a suite of customized Salesforce applications in partnership with federal government staffers and third-party developers across multiple teams. As such, the successful applicant for this position will need to have at least 1 year of experience directly supporting the testing and implementation of Salesforce-enabled solutions.

Primary Duties:

  • Enables the implementation of complex systems that produce ROI and enable workflow automation to the organization
  • Collects, analyzes and interprets both qualitative and quantitative data; performs analytical and root cause analyses
  • Captures notes from and at times facilitates discussions with business users to understand, define, document, and disseminate information about defects and opportunities to remediate via changes to business processes, information resources, and/or software capabilities
  • Collaborates with the client and team(s) to create backlog items, define Ready/Acceptance/Done criteria
  • Collaborates with team to develop strategies for testing upcoming product releases and developing the complementary testing plans to execute those strategies (to include the identification, creation, and maintenance of test datasets)
  • Collaborates with team to develop test scenarios, develops test scripts, and conducts testing and verification activities for delivered capabilities both within sprints (iterations) and as needed for major releases and sub-releases (UAT)
  • Helps develop and at times presents communications, presentations, and project documentation/artifacts for team members and the client
  • Assists in Quality Assurance training and standards development for QA in consultation with Agile coaches, the internal project team, the development teams, and federal leaders and SMEs
  • Supports the product manager and federal/internal stakeholders on project reporting and deliverables
  • Assists in maintaining project deadlines and schedules
  • Develops and produces ad hoc reports and analyses as needed
  • Utilizes management and planning tools including JIRA/Trello, MS Project, and/or Confluence
  • Utilizes presentation, visualization, and workshopping tools including MS PowerPoint, Visio, and/or Figma (flow diagrams, wireframes) or Mural

Minimum Technical Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a public trust clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 1+ years direct experience supporting the development, testing, and implementation of a Salesforce solution working in a Quality Assurance/testing role
  • 2 years working on large-scale IT projects with multiple teams in a Quality Assurance/testing role
  • Direct experience supporting the development, testing, and implementation of a Salesforce solution working in a Quality Assurance/testing role
  • 1+ years communicating and interfacing with federal government clients and development teams
  • Direct ongoing experience using common Enterprise Agile Planning tools such as Jira/Confluence
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communication skills (including presentation skills)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (including Visio and Project) and SharePoint

Preferred Skills/Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Active Public Trust clearance
  • Direct experience working within a SAFe delivery framework
  • Understanding of broadband policy and financial analysis
