Position Overview
TEAM is seeking a remote QA Managerto lead a team of QA Analysts and testers through the entire lifecycle of software testing to ensure quality software is delivered to program users and that our products and services meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analytical skills, as well as strong problem-solving and organizational abilities. They should be detail-oriented, have a strong focus on quality, and be able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements. The QA manager will work closely with developers, product managers, customer service and stakeholders to ensure that the products we deliver meet our customers' needs and expectations. They will be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans, and for identifying and troubleshooting issues with software and processes. This role is open to US-based applicants living in the Pacific Time Zone.
Core Responsibilities

  • Build upon existing and develop new quality assurance processes and strategies to ensure that products and services meet required standards and customer expectations
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to meet goals
  • Lead offshore QA team by setting priorities, providing mentorship and direction, and evaluating performance; guide team to perform extensive system, functional, and regression testing
  • Implement process changes to scale testing efforts across multiple products
  • Manage contract testers, budget, and workload
  • Create thorough test plans to present and discuss with engineers during project kickoffs; develop and execute test cases, scripts, plans and procedures (manual and automated)
  • Review test plans, test cases and test scripts for tracking defects and fixes; oversee the execution of testing activities, and analyze discrepancies resulting from executed test
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management, engineering, and design, to ensure that quality standards are integrated throughout the organization
  • Work closely with the customer support team to review and analyze product and customer feedback to identify and prioritize quality improvements; Act as key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
  • Make recommendations to improve product reliability and performance, as well as the best practices for the quality assurance process

Key Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in QA engineering and testing, with at least a year experience as a team lead or management role; experience managing off-shore resources strongly preferred
  • Advanced experience with web application products; strong knowledge of the software development life cycle and/or software development methodology
  • Deep familiarity with software testing methodologies and tools, including both manual and automated testing practices
  • Understanding of relational database
  • Proficiency in Selenium web driver / TestNG/ Maven/ JENKINS
  • Experience creating in-depth test plans and overseeing test case creation
  • Strong understanding of Jira or comparable ticket management tools
  • Quick learner; able to acquire product expertise across our four applications
  • Excellent project management skills; can effectively manage multiple projects in QA simultaneously
  • Ability to convey complex technical requirements in a clear and succinct manner
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with development engineering and other functions
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented and proactive in order to meet project deadlines

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AS400 and JDE strongly preferred
  • Prior experience in Web Services testing, Db testing, SQL queries, JIRA, Confluence is a plus
  • Familiarity with the entertainment industry commercials union contracts is a bonus

Special Work Conditions
  • Sedentary - Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Some positions may entail exerting up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force to lift, carry, push, or pull.

Compensation is commensurate with various factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, skills, training, licensure, certifications, geographic cost of labor, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation range for candidates in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
The compensation range for this position is:
$125,000 - $150,000 USD
