Position Overview
As QA Engineer you will perform a variety of manual and automated testing activities including: Application programming interface (API) level testing, system testing, black box functional testing, UI testing, and white box testing. Design test strategies, develop test tools and implement manual and automated test cases to ensure highest quality deliverables for maintenance and new feature releases. Identify tools and processes to increase overall efficiency and productivity. Manage the QA process from review requirements, defect management to risk analysis and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Participation in the full cycle of product development;
- Manual testing of a web application;
- Clover device payment testing
- Error detection and quality control;
- Writing test cases, searching for errors using different testing techniques;
- Interaction with the development team.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent.
- Understanding of primary testing methodologies;
- Knowledge of testing artifacts.
- Practical experience in testing web applications or payment systems from 3 years;
- Understanding of the SOAP / REST protocols;
- Knowledge of database basics, writing simple SQL queries;
- Deep understanding of development processes;
- Experience with bug-tracking and documentation systems (Jira, Confluence)
- Basic understanding of client-server architecture.
- Use of the following tools: Selenium, Swagger, SoapUI, PostMan
- Experience dealing with implicit requirements;
- Experience with development lifecycle that uses SDL
- Experience in a distributed team.
- Understanding OWASP Application Security Verification Standard, OWASP Testing Guide and how to implement it.
- Understanding how e-commerce payment services work
- Location-Sacramento area.
