Job Title: Senior QA Automation Engineer
Job Locations: Employer allows full-time telecommuting
Job Duties:
Independently design and deliver automation and automation framework for products with a quality mindset. Provide oversight through code and design reviews for features delivered by other Automation Engineers. Lead the testing effort for your product. Grow with the company by expanding your knowledge of multiple products. Recommend and implement tools to enhance testing. Suggest strategies to streamline automation framework and automation initiatives. Make recommendations for system features and improvements. Mentor and coach the team to improve their skillset. Perform automation testing and QA on new/changed systems. Write and maintain automation documentation. Take ownership of test automation initiatives, provide plan and execute. Create bug reports and work iteratively with developers to correct defects. Prepare and execute functional, integration and regression test suites for internal and external products.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field and 5 years of experience in the offered position or closely related.
Must possess expertise/knowledge sufficient to adequately perform the duties of the job being offered. Expertise/knowledge may be gained through employment experience or education.
Such expertise/knowledge cannot be quantified by time. Required expertise/knowledge includes:
Full-time: 40 hours/week Salary: $143,021 - $162,658//year

- 5+ years of experience with API testing using Postman, Soap UI (or similar tools)
- 3+ years of experience with load and performance testing using tools like Gatling, JMeter, Loadrunner or similar tools
- Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC and STLC
- Complete understanding of automation systems and databases
- Experience with Karate framework for automating RestApi's
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, GitHub and AWS technologies
- Experience with programming languages - Must have - Java, Nice to have - C# or Javascript or Python
- Experience with Jira (or similar bug tracking software) and GIT (familiar with source control and its best practices)
- Strong understanding of testing protocols, developing test strategies and test cases
- Experience influencing software engineering best practices within your team
- Self-motivator, who can work independently, able to learn quickly, meets deadlines, and demonstrates good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effectively communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; detail-oriented
