POSITION SUMMARY:
YMCA PWRFIT Coaches support the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit organization committed to strengthening our community. Coaches lead classes in a safe, positive environment with classes programmed by Head Coaches. A Coach effectively builds community within each class. PWRFIT is a functional fitness class designed to build muscle, increase endurance and improve body composition. Coaches should be knowledgeable, passionate and high energy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads energizing, safe, and educational group classes, as directed by Head Coaches.
- Builds effective, authentic relationships with members and creates a community.
- Keeps accurate class attendance records by checking members in via app or at front desk.
- Follows YMCA policies and procedures; responds to emergency situations.
- Current required certifications, training, and fees related to licensed formats are the responsibility of the instructor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Required certifications: CPR, First Aid, AED, within first 30 days of employment and renew each year through the Y.
- Complete PWRFIT onboarding within first 30 days
- Hold NCCA accredited CPT, GFI or CF-L1
