SalaryWe are seeking a Senior Purchasing Manager/Director to oversee and lead the purchasing operations and efforts across all of our business locations in South Central Pennsylvania.
The position will report to the COO and be responsible for generating all purchasing for the entire Company comprising of multiple locations. This will include continual improvement in maintaining multiple sourcing for key raw materials ensuring constant availability and maintaining the Company as the market’s low-cost manufacturer. The candidate should have substantiated experience in the use of all available strategies to secure the lowest purchasing cost including but not limited to negotiating volume purchase discounts, purchase contracts in both the domestic and global markets, seeking alternate materials and parts, and establishing strong supplier relationships that work to the Company’s benefit. The viable candidate will present a never surrender drive that effectively brings results, never accepts status quo, and continuously looks for solutions.
Additionally, this person will oversee and develop the Purchasing team including MRO buyers and expediters across multiple production facilities. The expectation is that this role will refine current reporting processes and inventory protocols to ensure accurate data and timely buying.
Applicants skill set should include:
1. Evidence of heightened negotiating skills
2. Proven Quantitative Analysis
3. 5-7 years purchasing experience; 2 years’ experience working with multiple sites and ideally people management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
