Summary
The Public Power Relations Manager leads SRP's team that is responsible for developing and enhancing SRP's relationships with Arizona Public Power entities, federal agencies and Public Power industry organizations. Administers and negotiates service contracts with Public Power entities. Coordinates SRP's analysis and comments on proposed state or federal actions or public policies related to hydropower resources or Public Power activities. In collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, develops processes, research, analysis and work products that support the Public Power community and SRP's strategic interests and engagement with Public Power entities.
What You'll Do

• Represent and advance SRP's interests with respect to the Arizona Power Authority (APA), Arizona Public Power entities, the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), the United States Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) and industry groups that support Public Power.
• Administer Public Power contracts management activities.
• Lead and support negotiations for contracts with other utilities, government agencies, and other entities.
• Direct & lead meetings, conference calls and webinars with the representatives of other entities. Coordinate and develop analysis, position papers, comment submittals and other work products that support the interests of SRP, other Public Power entities in Arizona, and Public Power organizations.
• Translate highly complex public policy issues, contracts, or other matters into succinct and actionable briefing materials or presentations for leadership as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Leads a small team and provides supervisory functions including coaching, and performance reviews. Achieves individual and team goals and supports team members' individual and group development.
• Ensures individual and team compliance with Standards of Conduct for Market Function employees.

What It Takes To Succeed
Prefer experience in the Public Power, transmission, emissions, and/or contracts management business area, verbal and written communication skills.
Experience
Seven years of experience.
Education
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution that prepares the employee for the assignment.
Hybrid Workplace
SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
