The firm is currently seeking a part-time File Clerk to join its growing team at its corporate headquarters in Parsippany, NJ. Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
•Organizing Files: Ensure both paper and electronic files are accurately labeled, updated, and stored, facilitating easy access and efficiency.
•Filing: Maintain an organized filing system that allows quick retrieval of documents, supporting the firm's operational efficiency.
•Data Entry: Accurately enter data into our systems, ensuring information is up-to-date and correctly cataloged.
•Maintaining Workroom: Keep the workroom organized and stocked, ensuring a functional and efficient workspace for all team members.
•Scanning Completed Files: Digitize paper files and ensure they are correctly saved and backed up, supporting our commitment to a streamlined, paperless environment.
•Assisting Paralegals: Provide support to paralegals, helping them stay organized and focused on their core responsibilities.
•Other Projects: Take on additional tasks and projects as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a team-oriented mindset.
Key Role Requirements and Expectations
•Physical Demands: The position involves lifting boxes that may weigh up to 50 pounds as part of the document preparation and scanning process.
•Repetitive Tasks: Preparing documents for scanning includes repetitive tasks such as removing staples, paper clips, and post-it notes.
•Collaborative Work Environment: The role is based in a large, open workroom designed for collaboration, differing from traditional office settings.
