Job Summary

PSEG is looking for an Intern for the Customer Intelligence team

This job involves working as an analyst (Data Analytics, customer research and Utility Best Practice research)

This position will be Remote Local

Job Responsibilities

V

Assignments will include working alongside professionals in the following areas:

  • Assist in the design of specific research tools, such as questionnaires, surveys, quick polls etc.
  • Provide support for the ongoing quantitative or qualitative Voice of the Customer (VOC) research
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify patterns and solutions, including surveys and quick polls
  • Capture Customer Intelligence related data by providing and/or extracting VOC with actionable insight.
  • Provide research assistance to support Customer Intelligence initiatives

 

Job Specific Qualifications

Required Education/Skills: The successful candidate(s) must be actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Data Analytics, Market Research, Marketing, and/or Communication. PSEG recognizes institutions of higher education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent. Candidates must have completed freshman level course work for consideration.  


Preferred:

 

  • 3.0 GPA
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and evaluate key information
  • Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (surveys, polls, focus groups)
  • Ability to collect, interpret and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Ability to develop effective reporting narratives through dashboards and presentations
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment (adaptable, creative, respectful and open-minded)
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SPSS, and/or SAS
  • Experience with Behavioral Science tools and techniques
  • Experience in qualitative/quantitative behavioral research and analysis
  • Experience with Tableau or dashboard development
  • Experience with Customer Journey Mapping


All PSEG internship roles are paid at an hourly rate, however there are no medical benefits associated with these positions. Candidates are expected to work 40 hours per week over the duration of the summer internship. We are targeting currently enrolled/matriculating students that are able to commute to their designated work location as needed. Housing, transportation, and immigration support will not be provided in association with these positions.
