Proposal Writer

International Cybernetics Company is seeking a Proposal Writer to join our growing marketing team. The Proposal Writer will report to the Proposal Manager and help support the team with timely submissions of high-quality technical proposals to our clients.

Based in Largo, FL, International Cybernetics Company (ICC) has designed and manufactured devices to collect road surface data since its founding in 1975. In May of 2022, ICC acquired Infrastructure Management Services (IMS), which is now fully integrated as the services division of ICC. Together, ICC and IMS boast almost five decades of experience in pavement engineering and analysis, software development, automated data collection equipment manufacturing, and ROW mapping.

Responsibilities:

• Support the day-to-day operations of the proposal management team, working both independently and at the direction of the proposal manager(s).
• Provide proofreading, editing, and writing support for English language proposals and other sales pursuit documents.
• Ensure all work is completed to project specifications in accordance with editorial guidelines.
• Provide ongoing editorial and creative support to the client services team and other colleagues as required.
• Collaborate and direct the proposal activities of contributing team members such as management, client services managers, and others to develop, print, and ship materials.
• Liaise with subject matter experts to develop and refine content.
• Comply with ongoing operational requirements such as reporting, team skill enhancements, etc.
• Work with client account, project teams, and other key personnel through the proposal and project document development process from inception to completion.
• Special projects, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three years of experience as a proposal coordinator or technical writer.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Exceptional verbal, writing, and editing skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• High level of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe InDesign competence
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities
• Ability to work independently and in a virtual environment
• Strong storytelling experience preferred

Other Requirements

• Must be flexible with work hours according to business needs
• May be occasionally required to travel

Compensation

• $24.00 - 29.00 per hour, commensurate with experience
• Discretionary annual bonus plan based on company performance and individual contribution.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
