Essential Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Proposal Writing
- Craft solutions that artfully describes 95 Percent Group’s capabilities in ways that meet and exceed the requirements of all clients.
- Fully write clear, concise, and persuasive proposals that showcase the clear benefits of choosing products and services.
- Collaborate with SMEs from product, professional learning, IT, and sales to gather relevant information and data to use in responses.
- Follow up with internal stakeholders and clients to track the status of proposals and provide additional information as needed.
- Proofread colleague’s proposals for accuracy, consistency, grammar, and style.
- Manage multiple projects, workflows, and deadlines concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain and communicate status updates on projects daily and weekly by diligently using project management software.
- Assist the Sr. Proposal Manager in generating monthly and quarterly department reports.
- Meet all project review and submissions deadlines as set by Sr. Proposal Manager.
RFP Workflow and Project Management
- Utilize proposal management software to manage workflow, respond to requirements, and enforce a project’s stage deadlines.
- Research and use content from department’s growing content library to provide client-specific responses to each RFP.
- Rigorously follow proposal editorial style as defined by corporate branding guidelines and proposal Word template.
- Design and format documents based on individual client requirements (page numbering, footers, table of contents, section headers, pagination, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, the specific project response plan, and tasks list.
MarketDevelopment
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the K-12 literacy solution market and 95 Percent Group’s position within it.
- Maintaining current knowledge on science of reading research and how this body of work guides our solutions’ success.
- Identify and investigate potential opportunities for proposals in priority districts and other educational entities, such as private schools.
- Providing quarterly reports on gaps in our solutions that have led to losses or no-bids.
Other Duties
- Provide both internal and external support to RFP and client contract processes, as needed.
- Provide support to other company projects, as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in proposal writing in the K-12 education sector.
- Demonstrated experience with district-level submissions and learning standards alignment.
- Excellent proposal writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Ability to run online meetings, deliver presentations, and take detailed notes.
- Proficiency in Loopio (or equivalent proposal management software), Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of the science of reading and literacy instruction.
- BA/master’s degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience.

- Familiarity with 95 Percent Group’s products and services.
- Membership and/or certification with APMP, Shipley, or proposal professional organization.
- Embraces the challenge of crafting winning solutions to tough early literacy problems.
- Maintains current knowledge on science of reading research.
- The use of standard office equipment/computers (supplied by 95 Percent Group)
