Job Description
The Proposal Specialist is a new strategic role in the ACTenviro Proposal Department. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Proposal Director to generate and implement strategic and compelling winning proposals using existing material from the Proposals Repository (toolbox and previous bids). The Specialist will follow direction from the Proposals Director to gather needed information from subject matter experts, capture managers, operations and technical teams for a variety of proposal pursuits including civil and government bids. The Proposal Specialist will work in a co-authoring, collaborative environment to shape messaging to create winning bids. Primary job responsibilities include:
- Developing an outline for strategic RFP responses.
- Collaborating with capture and business development personnel to craft compelling proposal language that aligns with business strategies.
- Coordinating responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, SOQs, IFBs, and other requests from Sales Team and the Proposal Director.
- Following the existing Proposal Process of organizing and leading calls, following the proposal process, helping create content and drawing from existing materials in the proposal content library.
- Collaborating with Sales and Operations team members to lead and meet proposal deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in technical writing
- Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships on a diverse team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
- Ability to follow guidance and pivot as needed in order to meet deadlines
