Payload & Ground systems in Azusa, CA is seeking a Principal (Level 3) Proposal Specialist to join our capture management team. This role will report on-site daily, but we can accommodate partial teleworking. This will be fully dependent upon business/program/team need.
What you'll get to do:
Proposal Operations
- Organize, facilitate, and support new business proposals, white papers, and major follow-on proposal activities
- Advise proposal management and capture management on all aspects of the effort
- Prepare proposal schedules
- Set up proposal servers and administer access for the team
- Strip Request for Proposal (RFP) into compliance matrices; prepare outlines
- Prepare proposal templates per RFP Instructions
- Provide guidance to the team as they progress through the process
- Organize and implement the production and delivery plan for proposal. Recruit and secure additional production support, as needed
- Prepare graphics, per the template, for the proposal
- Prepare the proposal drafts for team reviews (i.e., Red Teams) and prepare Red Team Kickoff Packages and evaluation guides for the Red Team Reviews
- Ensure compliance to the RFP
- Prepare/produce final proposal submittal; coordinate with Tech Pubs and Duplicating, as necessary
- Troubleshoot all pop-up problems; including: logistics, staffing, facilities, etc
- Maintain database of proposal information
- Organize and facilitate major presentations and projects, as required
- Technical & marketing editing, writing, and deliverable production (graphics and word processing)
Intelligence Gathering and Disposition
- Monitor SAM.gov for business opportunities. Keep Business Development, Program Management, Engineering personnel informed. Update Salesforce as required
- Research/data mine business opportunities, procurement/budget/solicitation trends, competition news, customer and congressional information, technological advancements. Keep Business Development, Program Management, Engineering personnel informed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree & 5+ years of related proposal or capture management experience, OR a Master's degree & 3+ years of related proposal or capture management experience
- Ability to obtain & maintain a DoD security clearance (US Citizenship Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related proposal or capture management experience within the aerospace and defense space
- Current & active DoD security clearance
Salary Range: $86,300.00 - $129,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
