SearchLight Properties, a boutique real estate and property management company in old Orcutt, has been serving the California Central Coast for over 10 years.
Job Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Manager will be the liaison between the clients, business and direct all aspects of managing our clients' needs and solutions.
Duties / Responsibilities:
Administration:
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients at all levels;
Pursue targeted goals and objectives;
Continuously development knowledge and skills to remain current and relevant;
Direct employees and delegate administrative tasks;
Provide leadership, guidance and support to the team;
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure conformance and compliance, as needed;
Serving as quality control in connection with correspondence and follow-up for missing documents and/or signatures.
Property Management:
Meet with new and existing clients, as necessary;
Manage monthly accounting for invoices and owner payments;
Develop and implement property management policies/procedures, to ensure consistent and efficient operations;
Stay current with local and state regulations and ensure that all properties are in compliance;
Prepare reports for analysis related to market rents and make recommendations for rent increases;
Monitor owner and vendor files to ensure all documentation is current;
Oversee training and development of property management staff.
Special Events:
Coordinate and engage in special events;
Attend conferences and professional association meetings representing SearchLight Properties, as necessary.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in property management, with strong knowledge of property management principles, practices and regulations;
Ability to build relationships with tenants, vendors and other stakeholders;
Experience managing budgets and financial metrics;
Familiarity with AppFolio property management software;
Strong leadership and management skills;
Computer savvy and proficient in the Microsoft suite of products;
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills;
Exceptional attention to detail, multi-tasking, organizational, time management, problem resolution and follow-through skills;
Ability to work efficiently independently and in a team environment.
Compensation:
$65,000 annual base salary for this full-time, exempt position
Working Hours:
8:30AM - 5:30PM Monday - Friday
