Essential Duties:
- Plan, organize, implement and supervise the preparation of specifications for commodities and equipment.
- Prepare purchase orders and other procurement documentation.
- Coordinate the preparation of emergency and spot requisition requests for local purchase of items.
- Inspect all incoming shipments to ensure required specifications are met.
- Maintain perpetual inventory controls through established systems including computerized programs.
- Coordinate the receipt, storage, and issue of warehouse items.
- Keep accountability of tool entering the facility and exiting the facility.
- Maintain inventory of chemicals used for detainees’ dormitory cleaning program.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent (GED) required.
- Three (3) years’ experience in inventory, stock control, record keeping or purchasing required.
- Experience in automated computer systems and computer proficiency required.
- Experience in maintaining accountability of tools or tool control in a secured environment preferred.
- A valid driver’s license in the state of California with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.
- Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility security clearance.
