Property Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our property portfolio. This includes general ledger reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and financial report writing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, as well as experience with Yardi, or another real estate accounting ERP.

### Responsibilities:

- Perform general ledger reconciliation for multiple properties
- Review accounts payable transactions
- Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Perform accrual accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation
- Collaborate with property managers to resolve any accounting issues

### Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in property accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in an ERP (Yardi a big plus) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
