Position Summary:
Softeon is seeking talented and experienced Project manager to join our Solution Delivery team in either our Reston, VA or Atlanta, GA offices. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple strategic projects and customer relationships while leveraging the unique Softeon implementation methodology.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage customer projects to meet defined requirements:

• Initiate and maintain the project plan for delivery of the Softeon solution.
  • Leverage agile implementation methodology to execute the plan.
  • Guide customer in risk management and mitigation for entire implementation plan.
  • Understand the customer’s business, goals and philosophy.
• Act as primary contact for day-to-day management of the implementation.
• Project Planning, team deliverable tracking, including documentation.
• Resource Planning & Management.
  • Using Project Accounting System, define resource requirements to meet schedule.
  • Acquire necessary project team skill sets.
  • Manage internal communication with other Softeon teams.
• Project Financial Control.
  • Manage to budgeted estimates.
  • Ensure timely period-end processing and reporting using Project Accounting System.
  • Document scope changes and obtain financial approval.
• Manage Communication & Expectations.
  • Provide timely status reports.
  • Coordinate regular internal and external project review meetings.
  • Coordinate periodic oversight meetings with customer leadership.

Business Consulting:

• Provide guidance for customer-owned tasks, using prescriptive methodology.
• Provide ongoing project planning, assist in business development.
• Provide long-term guidance for support and upgrades.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to use project management tools and practices.
• Proficiency in change and risk management methodologies.
• Ability to mentor/coach consulting staff.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to conduct formal and informal presentations in both small and large-group settings.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, especially conveying complex information in an understandable manner.
• Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated success in delivering supply chain projects on-time and within budget.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field required.
• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in software solutions and agile methodologies, within the supply chain industry, preferably Warehouse Management Systems, Warehouse Execution Systems or Distributed Order Management solutions.
• At least two years of supervisory / team management experience required.
• A driven and resilient individual with exceptional abilities to learn fast, solve problems and take ownership
• US Citizenship or eligibility to legally work in the US is required
• Ability to travel is required (up to 50%)
