JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager is responsible for being the liaison between PMD and the customer and managing projects from Customer Kick-off to completion.
$70,000-$125,000/yr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Project Leader
- Maintain schedule.
- Conduct internal team meetings on a regular basis.
- Conduct customer meetings on a regular basis.
- Coordinate debug and FAT plans.
- Road Block Removal and/or Conflict Resolution.
- Coordinate shipping, installation, startup, and SAT activities at customer site.
- Ensure that all project deliverables are met.
- Project Planner
- Clear understanding of the project scope.
- Develop schedule, build and debug plans.
- Identify project resourcing needs and assignments.
- Develop and maintain an Open/Action item list.
- Prepare Engineering Change Orders (ECO?s) as required.
- Monitor project budget.
- Release drawings and BOM?s from Engineering to procurement.
- Communication
- Interface with customer and team to ensure all needs are met.
- Provides status and progress reports to customers, project team and management.
- Coordinate the flow of information to and from the customer and project team.
- Interfaces with accounting to ensure that billings are submitted upon achieving milestones.
- Observe safety procedures.
OTHER DUTIES
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Any other task assigned by management within scope of position, federal and state regulations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Engineering Degree preferred.
- 10 or more years? experience in project management in the Automation Industry is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office including Microsoft Project.

- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
