Job description

About the Position: This is a Standing Register Announcement. Applications expire after 90 days and referrals will be pulled as needed. You will function as a Project Manager for the Corps of Engineers assigned to the Planning, Programs and Project Management Division. Responsible for overall planning, execution, control and closure of high-dollar value, national priority, environmentally sensitive and/or urgent civil works projects.Qualifications:Who May Apply: Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. In addition to meeting the Basic Education requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the specialized experience requirements listed below:
To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized Experience for GS-12: One year of specialized experience which includes: Serve as a technical lead or Project Manager for one or more civil works, interagency, intragovernmental, or military construction projects. Assist in the planning and oversight of cost and schedule execution of the planning, design, and/or construction of a project in coordination with other functional elements. Assist in the evaluation of the status of project against established milestones and objectives to assure the attainment of goals and objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Specialized Experience for GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes: Serve as a technical lead or Project Manager for one or more civil works, interagency, intragovernmental, or military construction projects. Assist in the planning and oversight of cost and schedule execution of the planning, design, and/or construction of project in coordination with other functional elements. Monitor project performance and report on the status of project against established milestones and objectives to assure the attainment of goals and objectives. Lead the development and implementation of Project Management Plans (PMP). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). To be referred, applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
-For GS-12 - Applicants must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
