Job Summary:
The Project Manager II will support the Senior Project Manager responsible for general direction and oversight of a high visibility project at the FDA. The Project Manager II will assist with planning, overseeing, and documenting all technical aspects of the project. The Project Manager II will work closely with the Senior Project Manager, the technical leads and the client to ensure that that all aspects of the project scope are covered, and the project schedule is maintained.

Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a full understanding of the expected project deliverables.
- Assist in the definition of the project scope and its deliverables, and technical feasibility.
- Manage relationship with the client and stakeholders.
- Maintain agreed on project schedule and ensure that all deliverables are completed on time.
- Maintain project progress reports.
- Perform risk management and minimize project risks.
- Report and escalate to the senior Project Manager as needed.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manage day-to-day administrative performance of projects or a definable portion of a larger program in accordance with contract requirements.
- Fully understand all aspects of projects within the portfolio to effectively communicate status of the project to the program manager.
- Must be able to multitask, remain flexible, and be willing to grow with our business. The ideal candidate will be experienced handling multiple large-scale projects and take on other duties as assigned.
- As business focus evolves the ideal candidate will be able to support operational challenges and changing processes and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Minimum of 5 years + relevant experience.
- Prior experience working with FDA and or HHS is a huge plus.
- Requires demonstrated experience in managing, directing, planning, implementing, and staffing projects or sites.
- Experience working on large scale enterprise production environments.
- Excellent management skills with the ability to assign and monitor work.
- Requires excellent communication skills; oral, written, and analytical.
- Excellent writing, editing, communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Excellent time management, decision making, presentation, human relations, and organization skills.
- The candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a green card holder and be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
