The Project Manager is responsible for leading project logistics in a fast-paced environment to ensure that deadlines are adhered to and projects launch in a timely manner and on budget. Has responsibility for recommending and selecting the most effective methods or protocols to use in the delivery of ASHP projects.
This position will be based onsite in our Bethesda, MD office, and the employee in this role will be working in a hybrid environment, consistent with Association-wide ASHP policies applicable to HQ-based employees.
What You'll Be Doing at ASHP:
+ Determines work priorities, policies and operating procedures.
+ Interacts with others to advise on and facilitate the execution of ASHP's programmatic and operational initiatives.
+ Develops and monitors project timelines that identify and sequence the detailed tasks to ensure projects are completed on time and at the highest quality.
+ Ensures that deadlines are met and all activities launch on time and within budget.
+ Coordinates with staff and vendors to develop enduring activity materials such as on-demand web-based activities, as well as the distribution of such materials.
+ Develops and manages timely and professional communication, including written, electronic and oral communication, with staff, contractors, vendors, program faculty, and other stakeholders.
+ Develops and coordinates live and online educational activities and resources working collaboratively with a project team. Manages development and distribution of educational materials including, presentation materials, online surveys and collateral materials for projects ensuring accuracy and completeness.
+ Manages the implementation and reporting of educational evaluations and other outcomes assessments to ensure the quality of Educational Programs, and creates and maintains reports based on this information on a perpetual basis for entities such as supporters of industry supported activities and the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS).
+ Develops and executes an effective marketing and communications strategy for program promotion and audience generation, as applicable.
+ Coordinates field testing of assessments for board certification and continuing education activities as assigned.
+ Oversees the maintenance of project files to ensure all required documentation is readily accessible in compliance with Office of Professional Development procedures and requirements of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), BPS and other applicable accrediting bodies including timely submission of all materials/applications.
+ Communicates project risks including providing quality options for solutions to prevent projects from getting off track.
+ Provides onsite meeting management services for live activities and other projects as assigned.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
What You Bring To ASHP:
+ Requires a minimum of a degree plus a working knowledge of the theories and practices of English, Journalism, or related field or discipline in pharmacy, business, project, or association management.
+ Requires a minimum of three to five years of prior related work experience.
+ Prior experience in medical education project management in medical education a plus.
+ Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Exceptional organizational ability and attention to detail.

+ Willing to travel up to an estimated 20% of the work year. All travel will be domestic travel.

+ Working knowledge of project management tools - Asana preferred.
