Vulcraft-Alabama is seeking qualified candidates for the position of PROJECT MANAGER to be located at the plant in Fort Payne, AL. Compensation consists of base wage plus ROA bonus.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Facilitate effective communications between external customers, the project team, and internal departments
- Utilize business acumen to make good decisions that are beneficial to both VAL and its customers
- Possess a technical proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and other engineering documents
- Identify and communicate potential problems or delays and offer cost-effective solutions
- Maintain the highest standards of service through professional, informative, and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers
- Work with the Project Management team to proactively manage the division's production schedule by balancing the needs of VAL and its customers
- Exemplify a "project-ownership" attitude in all aspects of the job
- Proactively manage the activities of each assigned project
- Add value to VAL's customer's businesses
- Travel to job sites and customer meetings as needed

- High School Diploma, GED or higher
- Must be willing to and have means to travel as needed
- One or more years of experience in steel or relevant industry
- Teamwork-Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal.
- Communication-the ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicating information so that others will understand
- Computers-using resources to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
- Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work-Developing specific goals and plans prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team.
- Problem Solving & Judgement/Decision Making-Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options in order to choose the most appropriate solution.
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Two or more years construction industry experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
- Willing to relocate for future opportunities within Nucor
