Project Manager

• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with customers
• Facilitate effective communications between external customers, the project team, and internal departments
• Utilize business acumen to make good decisions that are beneficial to both VAL and its customers
• Possess a technical proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and other engineering documents
• Identify and communicate potential problems or delays and offer cost-effective solutions
• Maintain the highest standards of service through professional, informative, and responsive communications (written and verbal) with our internal and external customers
• Work with the Project Management team to proactively manage the division's production schedule by balancing the needs of VAL and its customers
• Exemplify a "project-ownership" attitude in all aspects of the job
• Proactively manage the activities of each assigned project
• Add value to VAL's customer's businesses
• Travel to job sites and customer meetings as needed

• High School Diploma, GED or higher
• Must be willing to and have means to travel as needed
• One or more years of experience in steel or relevant industry

• Computers-using resources to maximize effectiveness and efficiency
• Organizing, Planning, and Prioritizing Work-Developing specific goals and plans prioritizing, organizing, and accomplishing individual work and/or the work of the team.
• Problem Solving & Judgement/Decision Making-Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options in order to choose the most appropriate solution.

• Project coordination or project management experience
• Two or more years construction industry experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field
• Willing to relocate for future opportunities within Nucor
